What is keeping you busy these days? Currently, what are the focus areas of operation for Gupta Power? In this times of crisis, where thousands of people who have lost their near and dear ones in large numbers during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is my duty to ensure that everyone associated with Gupta Power including our channel partners, employees and our dear customers are safe and sound. The coronavirus outbreak is a test of our systems, values and humanity to check my immediate family and my employees who are my second family that they are healthy and safe.
Q. What are your growth targets for this year and beyond? The support of our dealer network and time bound quality delivery has helped us with phenomenal growth in the past few years , in continuation to that we hope for continued growth of 30 percent year on year in the next two years. Being in the manufacturing industry, which has undergone significant disruption during the pandemic, managing the business continuity was a challenge. We had to lean on technology and adopt new safety processes while maintaining the productivity. Supply chain disruptions and material cost increase were another concern area that required attention and kept us busy.
Frontier Technologies Pvt Ltd (Frontec), is an Indian company which specializes in Cable Joints and End Terminations of the Heat Shrink Type. Frontec has been in the business of manufacturing Heat Shrinkable Products since 1987. The company manufactures heat shrink tubing and moulded shapes which it uses as part of Frontec – Heat Shrink branded cable jointing kits, which are used in Medium Voltage electrical distribution networks across India.
Q1. What is your perception about the status and scope of the Solar industry in India? I believe the solar energy industry is developing pretty quickly in India. According to Mordor Intelligence, the solar energy market in India is expected to grow from 2020 to 2026 at a CAGR of 8%, which is great news. The government is also planning to build a renewable energy capacity of 450 GW by 2030, and the solar energy segment is expected to contribute a lion’s share of 60% (280 GW) to the total capacity. It means that the market will continue to expand in the coming years.
1. The New Year is started so what are your plans for this year? What are the initiative we can see in 2022? No doubt, the pandemic-induced lockdowns have affected the usual flow of business and on-field activities like sales. But to stay ahead of the curve, we need to rethink and reinvent the marketing strategy. We expect to do a business volume better than the pre-COVID level. We have carved out ourselves as a quality product supplier over the last several years and will continue to do so. We are working towards better market reach both in the domestic as well as exports.
