Siemens Limited receives CERT-In empanelment for providing Information Security Auditing Service
Siemens Limited announced that it has been empaneled by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) to offer information security auditing services to government organizations in addition to its existing cybersecurity enabled offerings.

Union Minister of Power, New & Renewable Energy visits Dam Site of NHPC Kishanganga Power Station
Shri R. K. Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of Power, New & Renewable Energy, visited Dam site of 330 MW NHPC Kishanganga Power Station at Gurez in Bandipora District of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir on 15th October 2021.
The Hon’ble Minister was accompanied by Shri S.K. G. Rahate, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC and Shri Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary, Power Development Department, J&K.
Upon their arrival at Dawar Helipad, the Hon’ble Union Minister and other dignitaries were welcomed by Dr. Owais Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Senior Officers of NHPC Kishanganga Power Station and other District Administration Officials.
NTPC ties up additional coal from Talabira Coal mines of NLC in Odisha
In its effort to strengthen fuel security, NTPC, the country’s largest power generator, commenced coal offtake from Talabira Mines of NLC in Odisha. As per the agreement, NTPC shall offtake of coal from Talabira mines to Lara and Darlipalli. Besides this, NTPC is also ramping up coal production from its captive mines.
The present installed capacity of NTPC Group is 66,900 MW (including 13,425 MW through JVs/Subsidiaries) comprising of 47 NTPC stations (23 coal-based stations,7 gas-based stations,1 hydro station,1 small hydro,14 solar PV, and 1 wind-based station) and 26 joint venture stations (9 coal-based,4 gas-based,8 hydro,1 small hydro 2 wind and 2 solar PV).
NTPC committed towards improving power supply in Bihar
NTPC has been supplying power to the state of Bihar as per the schedule provided by various stations of NTPC and its JVs. During the fortnight from 14.08.2021 to 28.08.2021, on an average, NTPC has supplied around 73 MU Power on daily basis to Bihar, which constitutes around 62% of the total consumption of Bihar during the same period.
The peak demand months for the FY 2021-22, as declared by Eastern Region Power Committee, at the beginning of the year were April, May and June. Accordingly overhauling in some units were planned during this period to align with the low demand period. These units will gradually be taken back in service.
Further, Unit#2 of NTPC’s Darlipalli station in Odisha is being declared on commercial operation from 01-09-2021 and Bihar will get nearly 94 MW share from this plant.

Designed to reduce component counts and improve TC tracking performance and ratio stability in automotive and industrial equipment, the Vishay Techno CDMM delivers a maximum working voltage of 1500 V in the 4527 case size.
Consisting of two resistors integrated into one molded package, the chip divider released today provides a single-component replacement for multiple discrete resistors used in voltage divider applications. The space-saving, AEC-Q200 qualified device is optimized for high power DC/DC converters and inverters in electric automobiles and heavy industrial equipment and buses.
KEC International acquires an EPC company in the Oil and Gas Pipelines sector
KEC International Ltd. (“KEC”), a global infrastructure EPC major, an RPG Group Company, has today entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% equity in Spur Infrastructure Private Limited (“Spur Infra”) for an enterprise value of Rs. 62 crores subject to customary adjustments at closing. The acquisition is expected to be completed within 60 days from the date of agreement.
Spur Infra, incorporated in 2016, is an Indian EPC company engaged in setting up of cross country oil & gas pipelines and city gas distribution networks. In the last three years, Spur Infra has an annual revenue in excess of Rs. 100 crores, a profitable track record, technical expertise, and experienced manpower. Spur Infra has an order book of ~Rs. 600 crores comprising of cross-country pipelines and city gas distribution network projects from marquee customers.
